The state of Florida is currently the 9th most popular place in our where to elope poll and when you look at destinations like St. Augustine it is easy to see why. This stunning coastal city is located in Northeast Florida and is the ideal spot for a romantic historic elopement. The town is nicknamed ‘Ancient City‘ or ‘Old City‘ and is the oldest occupied settlement in the United States. Founded as San Agustin in 1565 by Spaniard Pedro Menendez de Aviles and still retains plenty of Spanish influence in terms of both culture and architecture making it a great choice for those wondering where to elope in Florida.

Where to Elope in St. Augustine
One of the most beautiful places places to elope in St. Augustine is Casa de Solana Bed & Breakfast. The venue is the 7th oldest house in town and is situated on the oldest street which still has the original cobble stones. Another historic location in St. Augustine is the Augustin Inn, a Victorian residence built sometime between 1899 and 1904. Remodeling in recent years has given the inn a more Spanish style in keeping with much of St. Augustine.
